Anti-government protesters have got an opposition-run televisionstation back on air after forcing their waythrough a security cordon around the People's Channelbuildingnear Bangkok.
Security forces had fired tear gas and water cannon in an attempt to keep out the so-called red shirts on Friday, but after throusands of protesters entered the compound police relented and agreed to restore the channel to air.
친탁신 성향의 방송국인 PTV를 폐쇄한 것에 항의하기 위해 타이콤 위성기지국으로의 진입을 시도.
건물안으로는 진입하지 못한 상태에서 보안당국과 수시간 동안 협상을 벌인 끝에 PTV 방송 재개에 대한 약속을 받고 철수.
3주 넘게 반정부 시위를 벌이는 동안
군경과 시위대가 물리적으로 충돌한 것은 이번이 처음이며 최루탄과 물대포도 처음으로 발사
